Anika Fajardo was born in Columbia and raised in Minnesota. She is the author of Magical Realism for Non-Believers: A Memoir of Finding Family, which is a 2020 Minnesota Book Award finalist. Her middle-grade novel, What If a Fish, will be published in 2020 by Simon & Schuster. She makes her home in Minneapolis, where she works as a writer, editor, and teacher.

In addition to reading and discussing her work, Anika will be our guest judge for the 2020 Narrative Essay Contest on the Cambridge Campus. The winner will be announcement at the event.
